Tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan are being propagated at the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM 2024) exhibition held in Tel Aviv under the organization of the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.

 

Our country is represented at the exhibition by a total of 6 local partners, including the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC and Shahdag Mountain Resort.

 

The national stand was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Israel, Mukhtar Mammadov.

 

The visitors of the Azerbaijani stand get acquainted with the history of our country, rich national cuisine, Slow Food and Slow Wine practices, customs and traditions, cultural heritage, objects included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and they are given detailed information about various tourism opportunities. Moreover, guests learn about the ancient Jewish heritage of Azerbaijan, which demonstrates the uniqueness of the country's cultural landscape.

 

Visitors to the stand are provided with opportunities to taste Azerbaijani national sweets and local wines.

 

The exhibition to be lasted to April 4, will feature meetings with representatives from Israel and other participating countries and interviews with media representatives.

 

For reference, 29,093 Israeli citizens visited Azerbaijan in 2023.
